PRMS Rattler Choir offers private lessons through the district's IMIP program. These cost reduced lessons are taught by experienced instructors who put your student first. Classes are offered during the school day. Private Lesson Form
Wravan Godsoe, mezzo-soprano, has been teaching voice for 35 years, including 20 years at RRISD high schools and middle schools. In addition to teaching at PRMS, she teaches at McNeil HS and in her home studio. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance and a Master’s degree in vocal pedagogy. She has sung with many choirs in Austin, including Conspirare’s professional and symphonic choirs, Austin Vocal Arts Ensemble and Inversion Ensemble. She has served several church choirs as alto section leader/soloist, most recently at St. Louis Catholic Church, and is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She is a certified Neuro-Vocal Method instructor, at home with both classical music and "microphone" singing. Ms. Godsoe and her husband own a music publishing company, Baker’s Jazz and More, selling jazz ensemble music to schools and bands around the world.
Native of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, soprano Maria Del Pilar Pavlova made her operatic debut in Mexico City in 2012, performing as “Gianetta” in L’Elisir D’Amore by Gaetano Donizetti. She later made her international debut in 2020 in the Austin production of Mussorgsky’s The Fair at Sorochyntsi. She has performed extensively in operas such as Tosca, Cavalleria Rusticana, Die Zauberflöte, Die Fledermaus, Carmen, Mavra, Aleko, Les Contes d’Hoffmann, the world premier of Matilde in Mexico. In 2023, Pavlova sang the lead role of the world premier Maria in the United States by living composer Josiah Garza. She received her Bachelor of music degree and Master’s Degree in Opera Performance from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2024 Pavlova won the 1st prize at the Concerto Competition performing with the UT at Austin Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Farkhad Khudyev. Pavlova is considered to be among the most salient pupils of the internationally acclaimed Russian bass Nikita Storojev, a towering and versatile opera figure. As a voice teacher, Pilar has mentored regional and all state winners at the National Federation of Music clubs since 2017 until the present.
