Mrs. Hart-Sobkowiak
I am a Registered Nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. My MSN is with an education focus equipping me to do the two careers I love, nursing and teaching! My clinical experience includes renal/diabetic nursing, general rehabilitation nursing (neuro, ortho, etc.), and gastroenterology. I have been a Registered Nurse since 1989 and this will be the start of my 15th year of teaching Health Science courses. I am married with 3 children: my oldest in a Pharmacist (PharmD graduate), my son is a CDL driver for a local company, and my youngest daughter is a 12th grader. My two oldest are RRISD graduates, and my youngest will soon be!
As the first person from my family to receive a college education, I can truly say that I value education. I began my post-secondary education at Angelo State University, and later earned my MSN through Walden University. I know each and every student can succeed in reaching their goals for success despite various challenges that some may face. I believe that each individual deserves to be treated with respect and is instrumental in the growth and learning that happens in my classroom. I look forward to a successful year!
Mission For The Class
Educate students regarding the many aspects of healthcare. Provide all students assistance in gaining skills and knowledge that will be needed to enter the work force or college. Empower every student, every day to the fullest of their potential and beyond. Offer students opportunity to explore health related issues and to develop empathy for how these issues affect others.

Tutorials
Tues, Wed, Thurs 8:15-8:45 and after school from 4:15-4:45 by appointment. You will need to notify me if you are attending after school tutorials so I am expecting you.
*Please note that occasionally duty, meetings, or other school responsibilities will impact the tutorials for that day. I will always try to let students know ahead of time if possible.
