About the Teacher

A little bit more about me:

I was born in Dallas, Texas but moved to Bettendorf, Iowa at a young age which is where I was raised. In high school, I participated in soccer, track, cross country, volleyball, bowling, and science club. I attended the University Of Iowa (Go Hawks!!) and graduated from there with a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and an English As A Second Language Endorsement. After graduation, I packed up my little Volkswagen Jetta and made the 19 hour trip down to Austin, Texas. I taught math at Akins High School for 3 years and then last year was my first year at Round Rock High School. I have taught classes ranging from Algebra 1 all the way to College Readiness. Some of the things I like to do are reading, running, and traveling (when we are not in a pandemic).
