This week...

Math: We will continue practicing our multiplication fluency so students are ready for 4th grade! Please make sure to help your child memorize their multiplication facts from 0-12 as homework practice.

Reading: We will continue our class book clubs! Students will work in small groups to read the book provided to them, have discussions over the chapters, and answer questions together.

Writing: We will continue our final writing project this week. Students will work with a small group to create a brochure about a country of their choice. They will research various information about their country such as well known landmarks, traditions, climate, fun facts, etc.

Science: We will continue our unit on life cycles by focusing on plant life cycles and discussing animal life cycles. We will make observations of our lima beans and watch them grow! We will watch the Mystery Science of the week and have class discussions over the content.

Social Studies: We will continue to build our classroom community with various activities and discuss our life skill of the week: Problem Solving.

Homework: 

Spelling Practice- Please have your child read you their spelling words from their planner to you on Mondays. Students will complete at least 3 spelling boxes each week.

Reading (at least 20 minutes a day)- 3 Language Arts IXL lessons

Math (10-15 minutes a day)- Multiplication practice & 2-3 IXL lessons

Other: IXL, addition/subtraction practice, ST Math, counting money, etc.

Charge Chromebooks every day!

Reminders:

• Snacks, Laptops & Water Bottles - Please make sure your child brings a snack(s), a fully charged RRISD laptop/charger, and a water bottle to school every day.

• Dismissal - If your after school dismissal plan changes, please notify the front office as soon as possible, so that they can communicate the change to me.  You may also email me directly.

• Absences -  If your child is absent, please send a note when they return to school.  Let me know through email and notify the attendance office (sarah_clawson2@roundrockisd.org).
