About Me

A little about me...

My name is Emma Iceton and this will be my ninth year teaching at Brushy Creek Elementary.  I am ecstatic to be at Brushy Creek Elementary, mainly because I am a Blue Jay alum! 

I attended Texas State University on a soccer scholarship and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Family & Child Development. After graduation, I began teaching Pre-K and realized teaching was the right field for me. I went back to school and earned a Masters degree in Elementary Education. 

Although I was born in Illinois, I consider myself an Austin native. I love Austin because of it's plethora of live music, outdoor attractions and good food! I enjoy spending my free time being active, reading a good book and spending time with friends and family. 

My husband and I have a one and a half year old named Dylan. Dylan has been such a blessing to our family and is teaching us new things everyday. We also have two spoiled dogs, Colby Jack and Callie Dane. 

I have always been passionate about learning and hope to inspire my students the same way my teachers inspired me!
