DAILY NEEDS
Please make sure your child has an extra change of clothes in his/her backpack each day, including under garments, socks, and shoes.
Please send your child to school each day with a water bottle labeled with their name. Students will be able to refill their bottle in the classroom should they run out.
We will have two snacks during the day. Please place snacks in a backpack pocket or in the main area, separate from your child's lunch box, so they can access it quickly and move on to eating. Snacks should be something they can eat quickly with limited mess while instruction is taking place.
Please do not send in fruit cups as these items are difficult for students to open and the juice tends to spill all over the carpet. This often leads to us having an issue with ants, which then makes it challenging for us to have our snacks and lunches in the classroom. Thank you!
LIBRARY
We will visit the library every Thursday. Please make sure any checked out books are returned with your child on Thursday morning so new books can be checked out. If books are returned on a day other than Thursday, it may not be possible for students to make a special trip to the library to check out new books due to limited staff availability in our library.
SPECIAL AREAS
We have PE every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on these days. Art will take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on A Weeks. Music will take place on on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on B Weeks.

SCHOOL SUPPLY USAGE
Expo markers, glue sticks, markers, pencils, and tissues will be collected and accessed by all students in the classroom throughout the year.
All other items you send in will be used by only your child.
NEW THIS YEAR!
We have purchased a pair of headphones for every first grade student. Your child will receive one pair of headphones for the year. If their headphones stop working at any point during the year, we will ask parents to send in a pair from home for them to use in the classroom.
If your child is new to Teravista, they will also need a white 2 inch 3 ring binder, which will be used for their Leadership Notebook. If your child attended Teravista last year, the binder that was used in Kindergarten has been passed on to the 1st grade team and we will continue adding to that same binder, so you do not need to purchase a new one.
