FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Should my child bring a snack?

A: We encourage students to bring a dry, healthy snack each day. We will enjoy them mid-morning. If you would like to donate a pre-packaged snack for the class, we would appreciate that too. Please remember that snack time is a brief time in our classroom. Your child should bring only 1 small item that does not require any type of utensil. Scroll down to see ideas for snacks.

Q: Can my child bring a water bottle?

A: Yes, please have your child bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Due to COVID, water fountains are closed, but students can fill their water bottles at the water station in the Kindergarten hallway.

Q: When is your library time?

A: We have a set library time each week to check out library books (Fridays at 1:10pm) and flexibly scheduled library lessons that correlate with units we are currently teaching. Students may check out 2 library books in Second Grade. If your child would like to check out more than once a week, the library is also open for check-out in the mornings from 7:20A.M. - 7:40 A.M. during Wake Up and Read.

Q: My child is going home a different way today--what do I do?

A: If your child is going home a different way, please email me or call the front office. Otherwise, no matter what your child tells us, we are required to send them home the way you established at the beginning of the year.
