Howdy! I am beyond excited to be your child's Pre-K4 teacher! I graduated from UT Austin in 2020 with a Bachelors in Early Childhood through 6th grade, as well as ESL. I previously taught Kindergarten in Plano ISD. I am very honored to now work at Laurel Mountain Elementary with Round Rock ISD.
I was born and raised in Houston, TX. I am half Chinese and half Taiwanese. I have an older sister who lives in Virginia and my mom currently lives in Houston. I speak a little Chinese and love practicing the language with my students. I have a small obsession with corgis (even though I don't have one) and that is why I chose our class to be the corgis! I am SO excited for this school year!
Fun fact: I wrote the book that I am holding in my picture! It's called "It's okay to be alone" and is available on Amazon. 🥰
I'm blessed to have had the opportunity to create something that can positively impact children's lives. My hope is that this book will:
. Help kids understand that alone doesn't mean lonely
· Inspire children to view alone time as an opportunity for growth, creativity, and self-discovery.
· Break the stigma surrounding loneliness, encouraging open conversations.
· Provide a comforting reminder that independence is a strength, not weakness.
· Spark important discussions about mental health, self-care, and individuality.
· Support educators in teaching social-emotional learning.
· Offer parents a valuable resource for starting meaningful conversations.
