Vizzle empowers administrators and educators by automatically collecting student data to assess student progress and to provide personalized educational support. We will be using Vizzle for student's to practice their IEP goals/objectives and other skills in reading/language arts, math, science, social studies, life skills, and speech. You are able to login, see what lessons have been posted for you, and complete the lessons at your leisure. Lessons will change weekly.
Tips For Using Vizzle: Students have not used Vizzle yet, but we will continue to use this resource when we are back in the classroom together. If you click on the area next to the text, it will read aloud instructions or sentences for your student. After they learn how to navigate the site, they should be able to be pretty independent with each activity. After they finish an activity, a game or reinforcement will appear, and they can play the game or enjoy the noise or picture that tells them they have done a good job!

Google Classroom
Google Classroom is a free web service, developed by Google for schools, that aims to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments in a paperless way. I will be using Google Classroom to post videos to compliment ULS lessons and post videos of Mrs. Simmons, Ms. Tiffany, and Ms. Katelynn teach student IEP goals/objectives and other lessons. This will be a helpful place for you to go daily!
Tips For Using Google Classroom: We will be assigning videos for your student based off their IEP goals. After a student watches a video, they can choose one of the suggested activities to submit for their assignment.
Optional: Unique Learning System
Unique Learning System is a standards-based program specifically designed for students with special needs to access the general education curriculum. We will be using this platform for our math, reading and language arts, and social studies/science. You are able to login, view, and complete lessons at your leisure. Lessons will change daily.

Tips For Using ULS: We use ULS curriculum in the classroom, but students have not accessed the curriculum digitally before. They will need your assistance to get started and will continue to benefit from your assistance with each assignment. Each lesson is modified to be at your student's level, but you may need to add extra modifications and accommodations to help your student get the most out of the content. For example, if you are doing counting, addition, or subtraction, you can get manipulatives (coins, counting bears, tokens, small food items, etc.) to give them hands on practice. Also, when reading instructions or books, your student can click on the text to have it read aloud to them.
