A little bit about Mrs. Fyffe...
From the time I was in 1st grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. My grandmother was a wonderful 3rd grade teacher in Dallas and she would take me with her every summer to set up her classroom. I loved helping her arrange the desks and hang stuff on the walls. The best treat of all would be when she gave me old textbooks so I could play school at home.
After I graduated from high school in Dallas, I attended the University of Texas in Austin to follow my dreams of being a teacher. I received my Education degree in 1999 and am happy to be starting my 26th year at Brushy Creek Elementary as a 3rd Grade teacher.
My daughter, Madeline, went all the way through BCE, Cedar Valley, and graduated from Round Rock High School last year. This year she will be a sophomore at The University of Texas. Her brother, Tyler, grew up in St. Louis, but moved here 6 years ago and graduated 4 years ago. He will be attending lineman school in Denton in September! My husband, Brad, and I have been married for 11 years and we have 2 sweet puppies, Yadi and Ellie! We are a house divided, as the boys grew up in St. Louis, but they are quickly becoming die hard Longhorn fans! We love sports and love cheering on the Longhorns, St. Louis Cardinals, or St. Louis Blues.
I am super excited for this year and look forward to getting to know all my students!
