Welcome to third grade!  The 2023 - 2024 year marks my nineteenth year teaching with RRISD. I taught kindergarten my first year and I have been teaching third grade for 18 years.  This will be my sixth year teaching at Herrington.

I grew up in northern Idaho in a small resort town named Sandpoint. In the summers I would enjoy water skiing on the lake and in the winter, I would ski down the mountain slopes! I try to visit Sandpoint as often as possible with my family to enjoy the wonderful outdoor experiences a wilderness town 60 miles south of Canada can offer.

I left Idaho and the snowy winters behind to finish my schooling in San Diego, California. It is at San Diego State University where I graduated with a degree in Liberal Studies.  I have TAG and ESL certifications.

My next adventure landed my husband and I in Austin, Texas and we have been here ever since. We  have two gorgeous daughters, Chloe, fourteen, and Charlotte, eleven,  a quirky dog, and two fun-loving guinea pigs.  We love to spend our time together having fun and we are crazy about anything Disney!  We try to do some sort of Disney vacation each year.  We sailed on our fifth Disney cruise last spring and before the cruise, my daughters got to perform at Walt Disney World with their musical theater group!

I check my email throughout the day and I can usually respond quicker through email than by phone call, but either way, I will make every effort to get in touch with you within 24 hours (usually much sooner though). I am so excited about this next school year; exciting learning adventures await!
