BIM, Discovery,
and TV/Video Production
Discovery
(6th Grade)
Discovery is a semester-long class for 6th Graders. This class teaches Computer Literacy, Digital Citizenship, and Keyboarding.
BIM
(8th Grade)
BIM is a dual credit course that is articulated with Austin Community College. Students have the opportunity to earn high school and college credit as well as take Microsoft Office Certification Exams.
TV/Video Production
(8th Grade)
TV/Video Production is a year-long class for 8th Graders. Students will learn about journalism standards and ethics and video and audio editing. Students will produce a newscast for the DMS student population.

About Mrs. Brandt
After a long career in Non-Profit Management and Corporate Project Management Consulting, I decided to follow my heart and move into the classroom. I love teaching the things I learned in "the real world" to my students so they can be successful in their education and careers.
I attended The University of Southern Mississippi and received my certification through the Region 13 Education Service Center.
At DMS, I am proud to sponsor Chess Club and Student Council, and I am a coach for Academic UIL.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and cheering on my Austin FC. Verde Listos!
