Celebrations and Concerns:

Students can earn Tiger tickets in several ways connected to demonstrating 7 Habits daily.

Some examples follow:

making good behavior choices

following directions and being ready to work

assisting other students

reading prior to the morning bell

demonstrating positive leadership skills

participating wisely in class

cooperating in small groups

completing class jobs

returning completed permission slips

returning needed papers from Tuesday Folders

As students earn Tiger Bucks; they ask what they can “spend” them on! Different teachers may have different choices available for students to purchase.

Any student exhibiting inappropriate behavior or missing assignments will receive a form of parent communication. This could be a phone call, email, or a note in the student's planner. Inappropriate behaviors or missing work may result in loss of recess or other privileges. Parents will be notified of inappropriate behavior(s). We ask that parents sign their child's Planner as well as discuss together, as a family, how to make different choices. We also encourage parents to celebrate the admirable leadership choices made by their child. Feel free to contact your child’s teachers if you have any questions.

Typical Action Plan for Inappropriate Daily Behavior per teacher:

Inappropriate Behavior or Missing Work = Thinking lap at recess

Certain violations will not necessarily follow the above plan and can possibly result in an immediate office referral. (i.e. safety infractions, cheating, profanity)
