I grew up in Bedford, Texas and I moved to Austin to go to school at The University of Texas. Hook 'em!  I have been teaching first grade for 19 years at Fern Bluff! I love teaching first grade.  It is so amazing and exciting to see the amount of growth my students can make in a year! 

In 2010 I married my husband Kris. I have a 18 year old son, a 11 year old son in 6th grade, and a 9 year old daughter in 4th grade.  

When I am not in the classroom, you can find me doing DIY projects at our house. We bought a house that was built in the 70's and it needs a lot of love. Remodeling is something my husband and I love to do.  It has been very fun and rewarding  to get to customize our family house into our dream home!  I also love the beach, music, frogs, reading a good book and spending time with my family!
