This is my fourth year teaching at Canyon Vista. I am so excited to be here and to be your teacher!
Before joining CVMS, I was a math teacher at Pearson Ranch Middle School. CVMS is home to me because not only did both my children attend this school, I was a guest educator here and then did my student-teaching here in 8th grade math.
More about me: I was born and raised in New York City. I came to Texas to attend Rice University. After graduating, I decided that Texas was where I belonged. I moved to Austin 29 years ago when I married my husband, Scott. We have two great kids, Isabella and Jake. Isabella is a graduate of the University of Missouri and is a graduate student at Texas State and an Intervention teacher at Spicewood Elementary. Jake is starting his junior year of college at UTSA.
Teaching is a second career for me. I worked in the legal field before having children and then gave that up to stay home with my kids. After being a guest educator for some years in Round Rock ISD, I decided to pursue my dream to become a certified teacher.
I have always loved math. My goal is to find many ways to keep my students engaged. We will learn a lot, but will have some fun along the way!
