Welcome to First Grade!
Welcome to first grade! I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher this year! This will be my 18th year of teaching. My first 13 years were all spent at Caldwell Heights Elementary. This will be my 6th year of teaching first grade.Previously, I taught kindergarten for 11 years and one year of 4th grade. I have lived here in Round Rock since I was 4, and attended Voigt Elementary, C.D. Fulkes Middle School, and Round Rock High School. I graduated from Texas State University in May of 2006 with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on EC-4th grade. I married my high school sweetheart, and we have 2 amazing kids. Our son will be a sophomore at Cedar Ridge this year, and our daughter will be starting middle school at Ridgeview. We also have 2 cats (with crazy stories of how they came to us), a mini Australian Shepard, a guinea pig, a bird and 4 chickens! I truly love coming to work everyday and look forward to an amazing year of learning and growing together with your child.
