This is my second year at Cedar Ridge High School and I am so thrilled to be a Raider!  I am one of those rare Austinites, born and raised here. I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was four years old and graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos (although back then in the 1900s it was known as Southwest Texas!). I taught middle school before my kids were born, and then stayed home with them for many years.  Once they were in school, I taught 3rd and 4th grade for several years.  In fact, this will be my 15th year as a  teacher in RRISD, but only my third year to teach high school.  Teaching young adults who are considering a career in education is my dream teaching job and I can't wait to share my passion for teaching with each of you.

My husband, Joel, and I just celebrated our 23rd anniversary this summer and have two children: Emily and John. Emily is a Bobcat at Texas State University in San Marcos, and wants to be a teacher as well. John is starting 8th grade at Ridgeview, and will be joining me here at CRHS next year!  In my spare time, I love to cook for my family, get regular exercise, and read.
