School and Classroom Expectations

Callison students are expected to be:

Safe ( with our actions)

Respectful (with communication)

Responsible (with our work and our things)

Daily Communication

Please look at your child’s folder daily. This will allow communication between school and home.
Important papers are graded work are sent home on Thursdays.

Grading Policy

Grades will be determined by daily class work (70%) and assessments (30%).
Student grades can be viewed at home using the school's "Home Access Center”
Students earn numerical grades on a 0-100 scale.
Redo/Retake on class assignments:

Any grade below a 70 is considered failing, and the student will have a reasonable and fair opportunity to be re-taught and to redo the assignment to further develop his/her understanding of the concept, earning a grade of up to a 70.

Homework

Please have your child read for 20 minutes each night. Please have students read aloud to you whenever possible, including leveled books sent home for students to practice.
Studetns may bring home unfinished classwork as homework if absent or behind.
