Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology, & Communications

Course Description-

Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications is the introductory class in the Audio Video Production track and will expose students to all of the basic components of pre-production, production, and post-production. Working in small groups of 4-5, students will rotate through the various crew positions and will learn how to work as a team to take a project from script to screen.

Using state of the art cameras, iMacs, and Final Cut Pro editing software, students will have access to the same technology currently being used in the professional world.

Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications is the first class in a 3-part sequence of Audio Video Production classes. Together with the Audio/Video and Advanced Audio/Video classes it makes a career cluster that focuses on the A/V Technology career pathway. A student who takes all three A/V Production classes will earn 4 credits and will graduate with the Business and Industry Academy endorsement.
