Audio/Video Production I

Course Description-

In their second year of audio/video production students will build upon their knowledge of A/V production from the Principles of Arts, Audio Video Technology, and Communications classes. They will master more advanced techniques, allowing them to create more complex video projects. Students will expand their production skills by learning how to work with manual camera settings, various types of lights and light modifiers, as well as a variety of microphones. Students will also be introduced to Premiere Pro CC, an industry recognized editing software, and build upon their editing skills learned in FCPX in their first year.

Working in small groups of 4-5, and rotating through various crew positions, students will make several video projects that will push them creatively and expand their portfolio. While students will produce their projects with their group, they will each be responsible for creating a cut of the project in order to practice their editing skills.

Audio Video Production class is the 2nd class in a 3-part sequence of Audio Video Production program of study. Students who take all these three classes will graduate with the Business and Industry Academy endorsement.
