Welcome to Canyon Vista
Hi, I hope you enjoy learning a little about me. I am a sixth grade World Cultures teacher at Canyon Vista Middle School and I am excited to work my sixteenth year of teaching and tenth year here at Canyon Vista in World Cultures. I have previously taught third and fourth grade at two Round Rock Elementary schools.
I was born and raised in the Dallas metroplex going through the Lovejoy/Allen school district in Allen, TX from start to finish. I then went on to my undergraduate in Lubbock at Texas Tech University and studied Psychology.
After graduating from Texas Tech I lived in Washington, DC for three years where I did several internships including the US Department of Justice and the United States Senate. While there I studied at Johns Hopkins University in Elementary Education in Baltimore, Maryland earning my Masters Degree.
My wife is a Technology and World Cultures teacher here at Canyon Vista Middle School. We originally met working together as Resident Assistants at Texas Tech.
I love social studies and traveling. I am excited to share this passion with the students as we span the globe and better understand what makes each culture unique. In the fall I enjoy watching the Dallas Cowboys and Red Raiders. I look forward to getting to know you and your student while helping everyday be a success.
