Greetings!
I was born and raised in the great city of Austin, TX and completed both my primary and secondary education in the Austin school district (AISD). I attended LBJ High School and graduated as a member of its Science Academy. As an accomplished student athlete, I was an All-District football player and State Qualifier as a sprinter in track & field.
I furthered my education and athletic journey at Texas Lutheran University (TLU) where I became a starter on their football team. In 2007 I graduated with honors and received my Bachelor of Business Administration with a Specialization in Management. After 6 successful years in the private sector, I decided to pursue a career in education. I earned my alternative teaching certification and entered the world of education, and it has proven to be one of the best decisions I ever made. In 2018, I decided to pursue my Master's degree, and I graduated from Lamar University with a Masters in Education in 2020.
In 2008 I married my high school sweetheart, Samara Hargrove, whom I also have the wonderful opportunity to work with at Hopewell. We both share careers that enable us to have a heart for people and are fortunate to serve on the same campus. In our spare time, we enjoy spending family time together. We have 3 wonderful boys, ages 9, 12, and 14. They keep us very busy, but they are an absolute joy.
One of my goals is to be the type of teacher that I would want my boys to have. My family means the world to me and is the inspiration that drives me to give my all in the wonderful career I am privileged to serve. In addition to teaching math, I'll also be one of the track and field coaches. This will be my 10th year at Hopewell, and I look forward to many more. I am very excited for this school year and look forward to working with you and your child as I strive to help them be their best. Thanks in advance for your support.
