I've had a fun adventure filled year with you. I really enjoyed your projects and I love your teaching method. The way you taught me stuff is unforgettable, literally. Wow this has really been some year. I was new to your class and honestly I didn't understand your ways of teaching. I didn't know if you were being sarcastic sometimes or just funny. BUT what I loved about your class is that no matter what you always made sure we learned something. You're a different type of teacher. I can honestly say that I looked forward to this class every single day! Last year, science was ok, but I didn't love it. Because of you and your class, science is now my favorite subject. For one, you made science easier for me, even though it was harder at the time.

You challenge us to be responsible for our own learning and in the long run, figuring stuff out on our own with a guide (you) gives me a better overall understanding of the unit and if we just can't get it you bail us out in the end. Your projects were hard too but not so hard it was stressing, just enough to make them interesting. So really, struggling a little throughout the year has helped me improve a lot in what used to be my worst class.

Mr. Doyen, your class has been probably the only thing I like about school (except for maybe dodgeball Fridays). The way we learn is so fun that we don't even know we are working at all. You have really gotten me to like science with all the hands on activities like dissecting the frog really got me interested. But if we ever got off track you knew how to guide us back. He tries to answer my weird, hypothetical questions with serious, scientific answers. He also jokes around in class while still keeping the class on track. The way he teaches us is the best because it allows us to learn hands-on and also minds-on while still having fun.

Mr. Doyen is awesome because he explains things in a way that I understand. He is nice to everyone and he makes the class and learning fun. I like the way he replies to dumb questions and makes us think common sense. The most important thing that I like about him is that he greets us at the door and says 'good afternoon or how are you" and many more.

When I was in his class he treated me with the same respect I gave him. If I was rude, he put me in my place. He taught me to be punctual and on time(even if that meant sprinting to class still sweating from athletics). The way he taught made things stick in my mind. How he related science to our every day lives and mixed humor into our work. He said the word poop so many times, it was great. He was my favorite teacher because he put up with my nonsense and still got through to me. He is so much funnier than Mr. Caldwell.

I loved your class! Even though the things you say & the things we do in class aren't the most fun thing ever. Being in your class was one of the best things in my day. Every day your class is one of the most mental classes I've been in but it's also one of the funniest. S.J.

I really like how you have a bunch of random objects in your classroom and how when people aren't paying attention or sleeping in class you throw chickens and poop at them. You are a very entertaining teacher and I really like that because I get distracted really easilly and tend to not pay attention but you made it interesting and I actually payed attention in your class.

Thank you for making science fun. Science used to be my least favorite subject but by the end of the year science was my favorite class.
