MISS CORBETT

I’m currently certified to teach First through Eighth grade and English as a Second Language. In the 2018-2019 school year, I finished my sixteenth year teaching Fifth grade at Blackland Prairie. Previously, I taught at Golden Rule Elementary School in Denison, Texas. I taught Fourth grade for one year and Third Grade for nine years. I have been in the education field for twenty-eight years, having served my first two years overseas in the country of Brazil. I had the wonderful opportunity to teach twelve American children on the island of Florianopolis. I taught various grade levels from kindergarten through twelfth. Having begun my teaching career in another country, I have a great appreciation for the value of educating our children. I had the opportunity, in the Summer of 2005, to teach English to college students at the University of Rwanda, in Rwanda, Africa. Education is such a treasure. It's such a blessing to have an education so readily available to all.
