This is Coach Meyer's 3rd year at Westwood High School and 9th year in education.
Coach Meyer played college softball at Ranger College. After Ranger, she went to Texas State University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree of Science, with a major in Health and Wellness Promotion and a minor in Biology.
Aside from teaching Biology and Medical Interventions, Coach Meyer is also the Head Softball Coach and Assistant Volleyball Coach.
Prior to coming to Westwood, Coach Meyer spent 6 years teaching and coaching in San Antonio. She started her career at Legacy Middle School (2011-2014), teaching P.E. and coaching volleyball, basketball and track. After Legacy, she took a high school job at Judson High School (2014-2016), where she taught Biology and was an assistant basketball and softball coach. She then had the opportunity to open a brand new school, Veterans Memorial High School (2016-2017), and continued teaching Biology and coaching basketball and softball.
In 2017, Coach Meyer took her first head coaching job, and found a home here at Westwood High School. In her first two years working at Westwood, she taught Biology.
In June 2019, Coach Meyer traveled to a university in Indianapolis (IUPUI) and attended Project Lead the Way training, to begin teaching Medical Interventions.
