Course​ ​Description​:

In​ ​Science​ ​Grade​ ​7​ ​,​ ​much​ ​of​ ​our​ ​focus​ ​will​ ​be​ ​on​ ​organisms​ ​and​ ​the​ ​environment,​ ​but​ ​we​ ​will​ ​also

incorporate​ ​chemistry,​ ​physics,​ ​space,​ ​weather,​ ​​ ​geology,​ ​and​ ​space. Everything we learn this year will help you prepare for your freshman year Biology course in high school.

Units​ ​will​ ​focus​ ​on​ ​the​ ​following​ ​major​ ​topics​:

Life on Earth Genetics

Matter​ ​and​ ​Energy​ ​in​ ​Ecosystems Cells and Levels of Organization

Biodiversity Body​ ​Systems

Natural Selection and Adaptations

​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​​ ​

Necessary​ ​Supplies:

  • Pen or pencil​ ​

  • ​Paper

  • 2 plastic folders with brads and pockets

  • 4 glue sticks

  • headphones (recommended)

Preparation​ ​for​ ​Class​:​ ​ Students​ ​should have ​ a pen/pencil​ ​and​ ​ paper everyday. I would recommend a headphone set to have on hand , for use when necessary.
