I was born and raised in Utah Valley, surrounded by beautiful nature. My dad was a biology teacher and made sure to keep me curious and impressed at the nature that I was surrounded by. As I went through high school, I loved my science classes the most, but my other favorite classes were art, math, and Spanish. When I graduated High School I was accepted into my local university. I took a semester off where I traveled to China to teach English to kids ages 3-6. After that, I went on a service trip to Uruguay where I was able to learn fluent Spanish. On those trips I fell in love with teaching, and interacting with people who have different cultures than me. I decided that I would major in Biological Science Education. Three years later I was able to graduate college, marry my high school sweetheart, and move to Austin Texas! This will be my first year at Cedar Valley Middle school, and my first year having my own classroom.
