Amelia Lewis: 

I started at McNeil in 1999 as an English and have been a proud Maverick ever since.  This is my 18th year as a librarian, and I love helping students find books that make them fall in love with reading.  

Laura Glaser Falli: 

After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin (I won't say what year...) I began my career in education as a special education teacher. Despite a lifelong love of books and libraries, I had never considered being a librarian until the librarian at the school I was teaching said, "You're in here all the time, you should go to grad school and become a librarian. It's the best job in the building!"  (She's totally right.) I started at McNeil in 2005 and, minus one year, I have been a proud Maverick ever since.  This is my 31st year in education and 27th as a librarian. My goal as a librarian is to provide a safe space that empowers our students to explore the world around them and become critical thinkers with a growth mindset. It's always a great day to be a Maverick!
