Tryouts Fall 2025
Our initial team placement for incoming freshmen and/or anyone new to the Maverick Tennis program will begin the first week of school.
Male players with UTRs greater than 5 will be considered for the Varsity team. Females with UTR 3 or greater will be considered for Varsity.
All players will need to have a current physical form signed by a physician and all district paperwork completed in order to participate in our team placement dates. Click the link below for the forms

First team tournament will be in Dallas on Aug 4th and 5th.
Additionally, all athletes must complete and submit both the UIL Physical Form and District Participation Form’s prior to participating in any physical activities for RRISD. Please bring physical copy of Physical Form to the Head Coach on day one for Tryouts.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE PLAYING 1 USTA, UTR TOURNAMENT, or FLEX LEAGUE EACH MONTH! Becoming match tough matters and will likely increase your UTR!
