This is my 9th year at Hopewell. I previously taught in Del Valle before coming to Round Rock. I have taught informally and formally ranging from elementary to undergraduate levels. I am currently partnered with UT's AWSM in CS (Accelerating Women's Success and Mastery in Computer Science) research grant. I graduated with a Master’s in Wildlife Science from Texas A&M University. I hope to resume my doctoral studies focusing on innovative practices teaching equitable using computer science for data visualization and while also considering equity challenges.
I am especially excited for this school year because I get to continue to teach Hopewell's second year of Fundamentals of Computer Science and a course new to me, Technology Applications II! Upon successful completion of Fundamentals of CS, students will earn high school credit.
I am very committed to providing the best possible school experience. It is going to be a great year!
