Science is all around us!

I'm so excited to have you in my class this year. We are going to learn so much about ourselves and the world around us. By the end of the school year, you will understand more what makes up everything around us, and that knowledge will serve you in the rest of your studies. Please come to class ready to work hard, collaborate with classmates, and ask questions every day.

Why study biology?

Biology gives us the basic principles of life and helps us know and understand nature
Biology helps us understand our bodies and the changes occuring in them

Why study chemistry?

Chemists use their experiments and knowledge to develop medicines, foods, fabrics and other materials, from neon lights to shatterproof glass.
Just breathe in and out and you’re performing a chemical reaction, which is a little scary, but pretty great too…
