Students can create quick green screen projects in Canva with a couple of pictures and a few quick clicks! Add a picture to your background, click "Edit Image" and then "Remove BG" (note that you can erase and restore the image as needed). Just like that, you have a fun green screen image to extend learning!
For this example, I added my son to Room on the Broom! From there, the student could write a different version of the story from their perspective to extend the story!

Assign templates or let students choose their own to show what they know!
Venn Diagrams
Get away from the basic 2 circles on white paper, and allow students to create more complex Venn Diagrams and use colors to enhance understanding.
Character Resume
Students create a resume for different characters in their novel.
Recreate a Book Cover
Challenge students to redesign a book cover for their novel *or* create a book cover for the topics you're studying that unit. Remind them that visually the cover must relate to the information!
Classroom Banner Challenge
Allow students to create a Google Classroom banner over the unit. Then, select one as your new Google Classroom banner for the remainder of that unit!
Brochure
Bring back the old brochure projects but leave the markers and glue at home! You can even print these and fold them to create a great looking final product!
Comic Strips
All the building blocks to make a visually success comic strip are in each template- even the character outlines and templates for their faces!
Business Proposals
