Welcome to Kindergarten!

My name is Miss Kayla Sportsman and I am so excited to be teaching kindergarten! This is my first year teaching and I couldn't be more thrilled! This past May I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree in Education from Texas Tech University- wreck'em! I am originally from Round Rock and have been a student in RRISD since 2006 where I attended Fern Bluff Elementary, Chisholm Trail Middle School, and Round Rock High School. I have experienced first hand how amazing this district is and how much students are valued, so I am proud to be coming back as a teacher! In my free time you can find me reading, swimming, shopping and being with my wonderful family and friends. I have two dogs, Molly & Coco, and four lovely nieces and nephews that are also students in the district!

Kindergarten is a year full of exploration, creativity, and growth. I am excited to work with you to have the best learning experience for your child! I know we are going to have a wonderful year!
