Dear Students and Parents,

I am so thrilled to have the privilege to work with you and your parents as we map our way to educational success!

After completing my primary and secondary education in Jamaica, I graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Exceptional Student Education. I am certified to teach Kindergarten to 6th Grade, ESL and Special Education in both Florida and Texas. I am also TAG (Talented and Gifted) endorsed and a Level 2 Google Certified Educator. I have experience working with students in Pre-K through 8th Grade. After moving to Austin in 2015, I joined the Laurel Mountain Elementary team in August of that year.

Additionally, I treasure cultural diversity, have traveled extensively to over 27 countries and I am learning Spanish and Mandarin. This has enabled me to better communicate with those in my community. What other languages do you speak? Feel free to teach me a few words in your language. Did anyone in your family grow up in a different country? I'd love to hear their story.

For this school year, my goal is to help students discover and develop their passions through a joyful, innovative and challenging learning environment. I am looking forward to collaborating with you.
