To the Kathy Caraway Elementary Community,

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I greet you as the proud Principal of Kathy Caraway Elementary School. Caraway is a vibrant and supportive community dedicated to fostering academic excellence and personal growth for each student. Together, we will continue to build upon the rich traditions that make Caraway a joyous learning environment for our students and teachers.

Throughout my career, I have been honored to serve Round Rock ISD students and families in the Westwood Learning Community. This is my second year as Principal at Caraway Elementary. Prior to that, I served Westwood High School for four years as an assistant principal and as the associate principal. Before becoming an administrator, I began my career as a teacher at Caraway in Kindergarten, second grade, and fourth grade and was honored to serve the Caraway students and families for nine years. I have had the privilege to experience serving our families and community at both the elementary and high school levels and to support our students’ entire educational journey in Round Rock ISD. As a school leader, my priority is to provide students, teachers, and families with positive and respectful relationships built on trust and communication.

As I welcome each of your families to our school, I would also like to introduce you to my family. My husband Jeff works as the general manager for True Food Kitchen and you may see him volunteering around the campus. Our son Marshall is in fourth grade at Caraway and our daughter Olivia is in first grade. Our family loves spending time with our pets, playing baseball and softball, seeing movies, and exploring parks around town together. We are thrilled to be a part of the Caraway community and are excited to get to know your family.

One of my primary objectives as your principal is to ensure a safe and nurturing environment where each and every student can thrive. I am committed to creating a culture of inclusivity, where every voice is heard, valued and respected. Collaboration among students, parents, teachers, and the wider community is crucial to the success of our students, and I look forward to forging strong partnerships based on open communication and shared goals. I am eager to meet each of you soon!

Thank you,

Jessica Rinehart
