¡Bienvenidos!
Welcome to Spanish 2! I am very pleased to know that your child has chosen to learn Spanish this year. My main goal in this class is for each student to practice speaking, writing, listening, and reading in Spanish as much as possible and to gain a deeper understanding and respect for world languages and cultures with an emphasis on Spanish speaking countries.
To help your student be successful in class, I expect each student to spend 15 minutes each night studying their vocabulary (even when no homework is assigned), grammar, turn in your homework on time, participate in class, review for quizzes and tests, and work well with others in your group.
About Me
I am a 1989 graduate from Harlingen High School, Harlingen, Texas. I attended the University of North Texas (1989-91) and Texas State (formerly known as Southwest Texas State (1991-95). I've been educator since 1996 and I am certified to teach Spanish, History, and Art. I have worked in San Marcos ISD, Bastrop ISD and now currently in beautiful Round Rock ISD.
I began working for RRISD in 1999. I have taught at Stony Point H.S. for 13 years from 1999-2012 and now currently at CeVMS since January of 2013.
I am looking forward to be working with your child and help him/her succeed in Spanish.
