My name is James McClintock but my very first class at Ridgeview (in 2004) renamed me "Señor Mac" and it has stuck ever since! I LOVE teaching Spanish at Ridgeview and am so proud to be part of your learning community! In addition to being your child’s Spanish teacher and Ridgeview’s W.E.B. Coordinator, I am also the proud father of three girls and one boy (all four Ridgeview alumni) and grampa of two beautiful babies, Avery (3) and Kye (turned 1 year in April). I am a continuing second language-learner and I have studied the Spanish language for over three decades. After studying Spanish and English Literature at the University of Texas at Austin, I earned my bachelor's degree and am certified to teach 8-12 English and 6-12 Spanish. I have taught and tutored learners in Spanish for over two decades, the twenty-one most wonderful years of which have been here at Ridgeview. I love continuing to explore the Spanish language, the lands in which it is spoken, and the culture of the people who live there! I look forward to meeting you and sharing that love of "el mundo hispanohablante" with your students this year. I anticipate an exciting, productive, and successful year and I hope you and your student(s) are as excited as I am to embark on a lifelong journey which will expand their community and the lens through which they see the world!
¡Bienvenidos a mi clase y a mi familia!
