Our Mission & Vision
Our Beliefs
Mission: Counselors will provide a proactive, comprehensive, and developmentally appropriate program to address students' academic and career goals in addition to supporting their personal and social needs. Our students are provided opportunities to explore the relationships of academics to the world of work and to the community. This is accomplished through a partnership with parents/guardians, staff, and community members to enable all students to become successful, lifelong learners in a diverse and changing world. As counselors, we encourage students to develop interpersonal skills and social awareness while preparing for a successful transition and matriculation through high school.
Vision: Counselors will empower all students to reach their potential by providing comprehensive guidance, counseling, and support services that address academic, personal, social/emotional, and career goals. We will promote an environment to encourage personal inquiry and growth, social responsibility, and academic success. School counselors believe that every student can succeed through collaborative efforts of school, home, and community leading to a responsible and productive individual.
School counselors are advocates for every student.
All students – regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation – shall have equal access to all services (academic, career, and personal/social) provided by the counseling program and the school.
The school counseling program serves as a central role in meeting students’ developmental needs through interventions in academic, career, and personal/social domains.
Student needs can be best met through a data-driven comprehensive school counseling program in collaboration with all stakeholders.
School counselors are leaders and agents of change in school culture and academic achievement.
A comprehensive school counseling program is tailored to meet students’ educational and developmental needs as identified through assessments, delivery of evidence-based programs, and evolved through data analysis of outcomes.
