Mrs. Haynie

Hello, and welcome to our classroom community! My name is Mrs. Haynie, and I’ll be your child’s teacher this year. I have been teaching in the Austin area for the past 5 years in 4th grade. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher. I love building classroom community and helping students develop a lifelong passion for learning (especially Reading!) 

About Me:

I attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and my degree is in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I have had training in Child Life as well as completing a course in Social Emotional wellness and Mindfulness in the classroom, AND a Yoga teacher certification program. 

When not teaching, I am usually watching something on TV with my husband, two dogs, and a cat. We also have three children - Jared, 25, is in the Marines (and married to Mady), Jack, 23, works in auto maintenance, and Jenna, 20, who works in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing in New York.  I love air conditioning and my morning Starbucks. My heart beats for Tacos, pretty things, Broadway musicals, Topo Chico, and True Crime, maybe Taylor Swift, too! (and I am gluten-free, too!)
