Hello everyone! I am excited about the wonderful year ahead of us!

Let me take a moment to introduce myself. I grew up in San Angelo, Texas, and graduated from Angelo State University. My teaching journey began in Keller ISD, where I taught 4th grade. In 2001, I moved to the capital area and started teaching with RRISD. In 2003, I joined the Fern Bluff team, marking my 29th year of teaching and my third year in 5th grade. Throughout my 29 years teaching, I've been involved in district planning teams and technology programs. I've also led the Spelling Bee for 19 years, as well as the Great Austin Region Science Fair for a total of 8 years. I am always eager to learn new things that can help my students grow and develop a lifelong love for learning!

On a personal note, I have three wonderful children and am blessed with eight amazing grandchildren. My eldest grandson, Christian, is 28 and serves in the US Marine Corps as a Staff Sergeant in Oceanside, California. Here in the capital area, my grandson Noah is a 7th grader in Leander. I also have a granddaughter in Tyler, Texas. Bethanie is 25 years old.  In Brownwood, Christopher is 23, and Emma is 18. In Lubbock, my grandson Parker, who is 20, attends Texas Tech. Lastly, I have twin granddaughters, Addison and Graye, who are 6th graders living in San Angelo.

I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect with each of you and embark on an incredible journey together this year! Let’s make it a memorable and enriching experience for everyone!

I am passionate about teaching and the children I serve. Together, we grow and learn...

"I believe in the kids I teach. I believe in the truth. I believe in helping them grow up in the sun & not in the shadows."
