About Mrs. Garces

Hello! My name is Hailey Garces and this is my first year teaching 3rd grade. Previously, I taught 1st grade for two years here at Pond Springs. I recently changed my last name after I got married this year so you may know me from 1st grade as Ms. Norton. 

I grew up in Kerrville, Texas and later moved to San Antonio for college. I graduated from UTSA in 2021 where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with teacher certification for grades early childhood through 6th grade. I moved to Austin after college and started working at Pond Springs. I believe in building a strong classroom community where all students feel included and represented. I’m so excited to be teaching 3rd grade this year!
