SCHOOL COUNSELOR VISION & MISSION STATEMENT
MISSION
The mission of the FCE counseling department is committed to providing a nurturing environment for every student to experience enriching and equitable social, emotional, and academic opportunities that maximize their potential for becoming successful global citizens.
VISION
The vision of FCE counseling is to provide a proactive, preventative, and responsive comprehensive program that cultivates and supports every student’s personal, social, emotional, and career needs. Students will embrace the skills needed to develop and maintain healthy relationships, recognize their own strengths, and be inspired and empowered to positively contribute to our ever changing world.
BELIEFS
All children deserve to be loved, safe, and valued and are capable of reaching their maximum potential.
All children are unique and should have equal access to and opportunity for a high quality education as well as a data driven, comprehensive and developmentally appropriate counseling program.
Effective school counseling is a collaborative process involving school counselors, students, families, teachers, administrators, other school staff and education stakeholders.
School counselors are leaders in the school, district, state and nation exhibiting ethical behavior necessary to maintain the high standards of integrity, leadership and professionalism.
The school counselor participates in needed professional development, establishes agreement with administration on the needs of our campus, and develops and implements a data driven action plan with student outcomes aligned to the ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors for Student Success.
