Future Activities

Community Event - Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 5:00

There will be a 30 minute presentation which will include the following speakers:

* Dr. Wilson

* Dr. Lynda Carter

* A current teacher - Barbara Anderson

* FB alum from the first classes of FB in 1992.

* After the presentation there will be a reception (cake, punch and mints) and gallery walk including: school shirts, scrapbooks, banners, yearbooks, etc.

Other Classroom Activities - Throughout the school year

• Activity linked to time capsule on Student Focused celebration date (Possibly a rotation in the library that has items on display)
• Create a Celebration of 25 years FBE campus Video highlighting our school community and each teacher/staff holding up their number of years at FB and closing out the video with Mrs. Anderson holding 25!

Past Activities

Thursday, November 17, 2016 - School wide picture for our 25th Anniversary.

On November 17th the whole school went outside and formed the number 25 for our 25th Anniversary photo. A drone, flown by Mr. Coons, filmed the whole process. The Sam Bass Fire Department kindly brought their fire truck out to take a photo from the top of their ladder.

Here is the drone video! The students, teachers, and staff members did a great job! It was such a fun morning!

Student-Focused Celebration - Friday, February 24, 2017

After the Friday Assembly students will view a video retrospective called, “25 Years in the Life of Our School”. The video will include short speeches from various FB teachers, administrators and students from past and present, as well as the ‘25 Photo’. ALL VIDEOS DUE to Mrs. Coons by Friday, February 17th (Possible videos - “My favorite memory at FB... , What I remember best at FB…, The best part of being at FB….”)

Students will engage in a “25-themed” activity at 25 minutes after the hour throughout the school day. The committee will generate a list of activities for teachers to choose from such as: 25 jumping jacks (P.E.), how many ways can you make 25 (math), write about what makes our school special in 25 words or less (writing), etc. The final activity will be for the students in each class to eat a ‘25th Birthday’ mini cupcake with white icing (or gluten free cupcake or alternate food).
