- Talk with your child about your education and career. What has worked well, and what do you wish you had done differently?
- Make sure to explore many different careers with your child. As they become interested in different things, see what type of careers match those interests.
- Discuss with your child their college and career goals. Do they have a certain college they really want to go to? What is it about that particular college that draws them to it?
- Look at the websites of many different colleges and training programs in order to help your child see some of the different options available to them.
- Encourage your child to do the best they can now, so that they will be better equipped for college and their career.
