Elizabeth Dainton
Grades 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 5th
I am married to a wonderful, caring man and we have 3 charming, talented kiddos. We chose Round Rock ISD for our own children and know firsthand the excellence this district provides to its students. I was born and raised in Austin and love this town even when it 106 degrees in the summer. I attended the University of Texas - Go Horns!! I have worked in education in some capacity for the last 29 years; 12 years in Manor ISD, most recently 12 years in Eanes ISD, and 5 years in Round Rock ISD. My educator certifications include: Special Education PK-12, Counselor PK-12, and Principal EC-12. My passion is ensuring each student feels safe, comfortable and successful at school. I value the partnership with classroom teachers, support staff and parents as we all work together to ensure every child has a bright future. I am thrilled for the opportunity to encourage and support the students, parents and staff of Elsa England Elementary!
Iben Dyke
Grades Prek, Kindergarten & 4th
My name is Iben Dyke, and this is my 1st year at England Elementary School. I am honored and excited to be part of the England Leopard family. I am looking forward to a great year with all students and their families.
A little bit about me: I am originally from Denmark, and my family still lives there. I have lived in the United States for 22 years; 9 years in California and 13 years in Texas. I live with my husband and two children in Northwest Austin. My daughter is in 11th grade, and my son is in 8th grade. On the weekends, you might see us at various lacrosse fields or BMX tracks around Austin with the kids. Or you might find me on the tennis courts with my weekend team!
I completed my master’s degree in School Counseling at Texas State University in 2010. My first five years as an elementary school counselor, I worked at a Title 1 school in Pflugerville ISD. I have been at Sommer Elementary for 8 years. I will continue at Sommer Elementary as a half time Counselor and join England Elementary as a half time Counselor this year.
My job as a school counselor is to help ALL students acquire the skills necessary for successful academic, career, and social and emotional development. I will accomplish this through a planned, developmental, and comprehensive guidance program. I will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, community, and other school personnel to meet all students’ needs. Please let me know if I can be of any help to your or you child.
