Focus is on building relationships and celebrating the positive!
We come together to create a Social Contract as an agreement of behaviors. This is a student-driven endeavor.

Consequences:

Reminder of Social Contract - either individually or to the class
4 Questions
Repeat 4 Questions
Reflection Sheet (sent home and signed by parent)
Parent Phone Call
Behavior Out
Office Visit / Referral

The Four Questions:

1) What are you doing?

2) What are you supposed to be doing?

3) Are you doing it?

4) What are you going to do about it?

Repeat Offender: What is going to happen if you break our Social Contract again?

Snacks

We suggest healthy finger foods that the students can eat while continuing to work. Please no snacks that are sugary, sticky, or require utensils.

Birthdays

Students may only bring invitations to school if they are inviting the entire class.
To celebrate, students may bring treats for the entire class.
- Suggestions: Pencils, stickers or edible treats such as cookies, donuts, or cupcakes.

Cakes or anything else that must be cut will not be served at school.

- Treats should be here by lunch and will be celebrated at the end of the day.
- Please provide napkins for treats.

5th Grade Grading & Corrections Policy

All assignments below a 70 may be corrected.
The corrections grade will be averaged with the original grade, but the highest grade possible on corrections is a 70.
Daily work to be corrected will be sent home in Wednesday Folder.
Corrections are due the following Monday.
Corrections must be signed by a parent or guardian.
Tests and major grades will be retaught and corrected at school.
