Absent work: Students must check for missing work the day they return to school. They will have one day for each day absent to complete the missing assignments. After that it will be considered late.
Test Retake: Students may retake a test on which they received a 70 % or less. It is up to the student to ask and schedule a time to do the retake/corrections.

Classroom Behavior Expectations and Consequences for In Person Instruction
I hope students will abide by these expectations, and all do their part to contribute to a positive learning environment.
You will be greeted at the door by Ms. Dinkins
The daily warm up will be writing our good thing down! Please locate your notebook and pencil, sit down, and quietly work on it.
We will share “good things” the first few minutes of class. Please be respectful of those around you and listen quietly.
If I give the Time Out signal, please look up and reflect it back- I have something I need you to know!
Cell phones are not allowed in class for any reason unless you have permission. Not having access to cell phones in class reduces the opportunity for social drama, as well as reduces distractions.
Seating charts will be made after the first two weeks of school. I will relocate students on occasion to better facilitate your learning.
Snacks are allowed, but leaving your trash behind or sharing food is never ok.
Consequences for not following our social contract/ classroom expectations:
Redirection
Change of seat
Lunch detention with parent contact
Conduct referral for consistent refusal to comply or excessive disruption, in addition to parent contact. A referral is written when there are repeated offenses of documented behavior, or a behavior that results in creating an unsafe or hostile environment in the classroom or hallway.
