Hello! My name is Alexis Kerr. I am a third grade teacher here at Double File Trail Elementary. This is my 3rd year at DFT and my 11th year teaching 3rd grade! I have also taught in California, Oklahoma and Las Vegas. I am so exited to be teaching ELA and Social Studies as a DFT Brave!

I attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara where I received my Bachelors degree  in Education and also attended Pepperdine University where I received my Masters degree in Education. 

As a family, we love to spend our time active and outdoors! Working out, paddle boarding, fishing, cooking, and listening to live music are some of our favorite activities. We also have 6 chickens! One of my favorite classroom activities is hatching baby chicks - can't wait until Spring! 

I can't wait to get to know all my kiddos and am looking forward to an amazing school year!
