Here you will find handy info for Mrs. Rail's class, Principles of Health Science (the first class of the Health Science track) and Medical Terminology (the second class of the HS track). If you have questions and the information found here does not answer those questions, do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time. This year, I will also use the texting app, TalkingPoints, an app that allows parents/guardians to text me directly with any concerns, questions, or comments you may have.

IMPORTANT HEALTH NOTE:

On days you (the student)/your child have/has either PHS, please refrain from wearing any perfume/cologne/body sprays/scented lotion. I have a serious issue with migraines and scents are major triggers. If a student comes to class wearing any scent that triggers a headache, they will be required to complete the day's work in an alternate location. I apologize for any inconvenience however I greatly appreciate your understanding and compliance with this issue. If you have any questions or concerns with this, do not hesitate to contact me. I will have unscented lotion available for student use in the classroom so there is never a need to use scented items. Thank you for your cooperation.

Supplies for Principles of Health Science

Students are to bring the following supplies to class each day:

The following supplies are required:

Chromebook (school-issued)
Chromebook Charger
3-ring binder for course notebook (1in or 1.5in width (PHS); 1.5in to 2in width (MT); please do NOT get a larger size)
Pencils, Pens, Highlighters
Index Cards (3x5, lined or unlined)
Loose leaf notebook paper (Only a small amount is needed for the occasional assignments not pre-printed by me.)
Supply of pencils and pens – students are responsible for bringing a writing utensil EVERY day
A calendar or planner is recommended to keep up with assignments in all classes
- If using a smartphone, there are many scheduling apps to choose from that are perfect for students.
Headphones to use with cell phone or computer when use is permitted (Recommended during independent work time)
Suggested but not required: Colored pencils, and highlighters (I will have class sets of colored pencils and markers for use during class if needed)

**Donations of Kleenex and hand sanitizer are always needed and are appreciated.**
