6th Grade Girls Choir
The 6th Grade Girls class serves as an introduction to music literacy and performance. Students will learn to read and interpret music including identifying notes on the staff, note values, dynamics, and counting. The students will learn to sight-read using solfege. (Do, Re, Mi, Fa, So,La, Ti, Do). We will practice proper singing technique by addressing posture, breathing, projection, and articulation. The 6th Girls Choir will perform on all major concerts including the Fall, Winter, and Spring Concerts. They will also participate in the RRISD 6th Grade Festival. 6th graders will be wearing black jeans, all black shoes, and a mustang choir shirt for all choir performances.
